Case no:2 Hellotravel.com scam
I am shivang mathur from dehradun.On 20 march I received a call from mr aryan from hello travels.Com,his phone no is 9873241869.He told me about the offer in which I had to pay the amount of 5499rs for 4 nights 5 days holiday in shimla.I told him that I want the reservation in only and only honeymoon inn shimla,he said you will get 500% booking.I told him clearly that this resort honeymoon inn is not on the list on your website.Aryan said that not a problem this is not the complete list.I asked sometime to think.Then he again called me on 23 of march and made me talk to his boss or whatever mr rakesh,his phone no is 8130117889.He talked to me in english for the confirmed booking at hotelhoneymoon inn in which I will get two deluxe rooms at peak season of 22nd june to 26th june. He convinced me and I made the payment of 5499 through crredit card,my transaction ID is 15181162.In the credit card payment mode also in the description he said please write booking for honeymoon inn shimla from 22nd june to 26th june. The moment I made the payment he disconnected the line,daily I use to call him on his no 8130117889. For my booking status he said dont worry have faith on me you will get a confirmed booking. When I received my booking voucher there they have cut 2n/3d with a pen and written 4n/5d that clearly showed their intentions.I again called rakesh and got the same answer. I filled the form and sent it along with the draft of 550rs, I got their signed courier receipt on 2nd of april but was continuously told till yesterday that we have not received your courier. yesterday I.E on 9th what happened was one executive picked the phone and said you wont get the booking of honeymoon inn hotel.now they have started issuing false reservation letters.

Another case of fraud by hellotravel.com
You have caused enough anguish to a valued customer by your fradulent operations. I have been been having a similar frustating experience with hello travels. The smooth talking sales folks, promise hilton and hyatt with 100% confirmation. I paid an amount of inr 2999 vide transaction ID 10291201 and since then have been chasing for various hotels which are on the resort list provided.
1. If I choose a hotel for a date - ras resort silvassa, I am told it is not availabel for that date.
2. If I ask give me any date for the same resort over the next 3 months, I am suddenly told - the contract with that resort is closed - why is it on the list of approved resorts then ?
3. I have asked for dates and location that I can pick out of but I am always sent the standard resort list.
There is a definite fradulent operation running from hello travels. This will be evident in the fact that till such time as you make the payment, they will hound you and after making the payment -they dissapear . The names of the people you ask - who have interacted with you earlier - are always on another endless call which will never end if you indicate that you will wait or are on leave. The same person assumes multiple names and different people provide different reasons for not meeting your request.
I believe the plan is to drag it on for 9 months after which your voucher has anyways expired and hello travels is not bound to entertain you after that. I would be surprised if they have an employees by the name they actually give you on the phone.

Hellotravel.com Scam
On 26th dec mr rishab from hellotravel gave me a call and informed me about the 7n/8d resort booking offer

after 20 min of discussion he convinced me to buy that offer and told me that you will get the confirm booking for your desired date and desired location since your travel date is week beyond the min requirement of 30 days.
On 3rd jan 2012,I got the booking voucher (booking ID: 10282221)and on 4th jan I send it back along with the DD.
In the form it was clearly mentioned that within 3 working days you will get the confirmation.Its over one week now and I havnt got any confirmation.On wednesday I called them and asked them about the confirmation as 3 working days was over and no confirmation has came the customare care staff told me give me 2 more days and surely by friday morning you will get the confirmation.Today again in the morning I called them and again they told me wait till evening you will get the confirmation.Again I called in the evening they told me there was some technical issues please wait till monday.
I have lost the trust in hellotravel and I guess now they are running the scam and fooling the customers.I am ready to go to the consumer court and register the case against them if they dont take any action by tomorrow.
I hope every customers reads this before buying any packages from hellotravel.
